Washington Schools Introduced to
Forecast5 Business Intelligence Platform
NAPERVILLE, Ill. (February 19, 2016) — Forecast5 Analytics, Inc. and the Washington Association of School Business Officials (WASBO) are excited to announce a collaborative partnership to develop analytics and Business Intelligence applications for Washington Schools. Through this union, WASBO will immediately access and leverage the forecasting and projection tool, 5Cast. This database engine will allow users to build multi-year financial forecasts and introduce projection assumptions at any level of detail based on the type of analysis being performed.
Forecast5 has assembled a significant amount of Washington school data within its business intelligence platform, 5Sight, allowing users to easily generate insights based on relevant benchmarks and peer groupings. School District Administrators using the application suite will now have the ability to review historical trend data and compare performance metrics across several areas of school operations including finance, human resources, and academic achievement.
Mike English, CEO and President of Forecast5 commented, “We are honored to have the opportunity to partner with WASBO and its members. In addition working with them on performance analytics in 5Sight, we are really excited about the 5Cast platform and how it will serve Washington state schools. Administrators have remarked that 5Cast will present brand new opportunities for enhanced budgeting analysis and multi-year forecasting. We can generate exciting new insights by combining the power of these two analytic tools.”
Nancy Moffatt, Executive Director of WASBO added, “The association is excited to introduce Forecast5 to WASBO members. We are in an era where business officials need sophisticated analytic tools to optimize district resources and identify new opportunities for growth. The 5Cast platform is going to allow our members to build a 5 year financial forecast and test it against any “what-if” scenarios. This technology will prove to be very valuable to support data-informed decision making.”
The relationship between the organizations is also intended to support training and professional development for school business officials in the growing area of data analytics. Forecast5 and WASBO anticipate the launch taking place during the upcoming WASBO Annual Conference May 11-13 in Tacoma, WA.
