NAPERVILLE, IL (January 16, 2018):  Forecast5 announced the release of its new student achievement and performance software – 5Lab™.  This tool will allow school administrators to combine disparate data sets into interactive dashboards to develop action plans for improving student achievement outcomes and accelerating college and career readiness.

For schools to be ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) compliant, they must realign their reporting systems to meet new accountability mandates. Administrators are challenged to gather the required data, analyze it accordingly, and meet pressing deadlines. 5Lab addresses these tasks by allowing administrators the ability to track and compare critical data points across a variety of sources to make connections and answer the questions being asked. The capability to quickly build and customize visual presentations for all levels of administration and leadership is enhancing transparency and understanding among stakeholders.

The 5Lab application includes easy-to-use dashboard authoring tools that administrators can use to quickly create and disseminate information to key stakeholders.  The application also includes a Guided Analysis feature which allows a user to define a pathway through a series of dashboard views.  This feature promotes a consistent and logical drill-down path for consumers of the information.

Forecast5 CEO, Mike English says, “Forecast5 continues to support the efforts of school administrators around the country by developing state-of-the-art analytic applications.  5Lab has the potential to change the way administrative teams identify student needs and allocate critical resources to classrooms.  5Lab is significantly reducing manual processing of data and accelerating time-to-insight for the benefit of students.”

Dr. Adam Cibulka, Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment at DuPage High School District 88 shares, "5Lab has allowed our team to get real-time, accurate updates on key student indicators.  Before 5Lab, we spent 90 percent of our time configuring our school improvement data and 10 percent of our time analyzing it.  Now, we only need 10 percent of our time to configure the data and can take 90 percent of our time analyzing the results and developing critical interventions to support student success."
