NAPERVILLE, Ill. (April 9, 2013) —The Ohio Association of School Business Officials (OASBO), the Buckeye Association of School Administrators (BASA) and Forecast5 Analytics announced an agreement to develop and deliver custom analytics for Ohio schools. OASBO and BASA will work with Forecast5 to help guide the evolution and use of 5Sight, the company’s Business Intelligence application for schools and 5Cast, a robust financial planning and simulation program. Additionally, the organizations will promote the use of 5Share, Forecast5’s unique business collaboration platform which will allow Ohio school districts to accelerate the benefits of analytics.
"The relationship with these two organizations is going to be foundational in guiding the development of analytic tools focused towards strategic planning and financial management for Ohio school districts,” Forecast5 President and CEO Mike English said. “Forecast5 is proud to be able to serve Ohio schools in collaboration with BASA and OASBO and we are excited to have the chance to increase opportunities for student learning."
OASBO Executive Director David Varda also spoke about the benefits of the relationship for its members. “Our partnership with Forecast5 will provide district leadership with a tremendous analytical toolset. District financial leaders will be able to effectively leverage existing, but untapped data for fact-based and predictive decision-making. The opportunity to turn data into real information that leads to decisions brings great value to districts across the state."
Kirk Hamilton, Executive Director of BASA noted the strategic connection for superintendents and other key administrators. “Forecast5 tools will enable key decision makers the ability to navigate through a sea of data that quite often can be more distracting than enlightening. These tools provide a laser-like focus in the critical areas of finance and personnel that can ultimately impact the educational outcomes of our students.”
Forecast5 will feature its full suite of products at the OASBO Annual Workshop & Tradeshow on Thursday, April 25 in Booth #225 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Forecast5 Analytics provides powerful analytic tools to help local government leaders drive financial and strategic decisions. The Forecast5 platform includes cloud-based business intelligence software, interactive visuals and a collaborative analytics engine.
