NAPERVILLE, Ill. (February 17, 2015) —The Indiana School Board Association (ISBA) and Forecast5 recently announced their partnership to expand the use of analytics and related business applications to Indiana school corporations. ISBA is the 20th statewide association to have joined the Forecast5 Corporate Partner Program.

Forecast5 launched its business intelligence platform for Indiana in October 2014 in partnership with the Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents (IAPSS) and the Indiana Association of School Business Officials (IASBO). With ISBA joining the partnership, the organizations will endeavor to promote the use of data analytics for the benefit of K-12 schools in the state.

5Sight is Forecast5’s dynamic business intelligence and visualization platform which helps schools drive decisions with competitive and comparative insight. Indiana schools using 5Sight software can review historical trend data and compare performance metrics across several areas of school operations including finance, human resources, and academic achievement.  The application can be used effectively in strategic planning and to support governance decisions.

Forecast5 CEO/President Mike English said, “We could not be more pleased with the level of interest and excitement that Indiana schools have expressed in our analytic applications.  Adding ISBA as a corporate partner, is going to accelerate our ability to deploy analytic strategies across the state.  I have tremendous respect for ISBA’s professional development for school board members, as well as, their vision for advancing the use of analytics in the governance of Indiana schools.”

ISBA Executive Director Brian Smith said, “We need to be more sophisticated in our use of data to help drive meaningful and effective planning and decision making. Even though there is a plethora of data available, it is very difficult to gather it in one place for disaggregation. Consequently, it is difficult to analyze patterns and trends.”

Throughout 2015, Forecast5 will be featuring 5Sight and its other analytic applications at several events and conferences in coordination with its Indiana partners.
