Forecast5 Set To Introduce Analytics for California Schools

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (March 27, 2015) —Forecast5 Analytics, Inc. (Forecast5) announced its plans to introduce its business intelligence and data analytics platform, 5Sight, to the California public education market at an upcoming professional conference for school administrators.  The launch will occur in San Diego at the California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO) Annual Conference being held March 30 through April 2.  With this introduction, California will be the 11th state in which Forecast5 has delivered its performance and benchmarking platform.

5Sight allows school administrators to review historical trend data and compare performance metrics across several areas of school operations including finance, human resources, and academic achievement.  Forecast5 provides the platform by gathering relevant statewide data and then modeling it in the form of interactive and consumable performance analytics.

Mike English, CEO and President of Forecast5 commented, “I am really proud of what our team has been able to put together for California schools.  As you would expect in California, the size of the data set is enormous, but it also has some unique elements to it.  We have been able to create some new analytic views for California that we will attempt to bring back to our other states.  With some of the pressing issues in California education, such as English Proficiency, I think Forecast5 is going to be able to create some valuable tools and insights that will directly benefit students and communities.”

At the CASBO conference, Forecast5 will also demonstrate its geo-spatial analytics application, 5Maps, and its financial projection tool, 5Cast.  Schools are using these technologies to generate actionable insights and make informed business decisions.

Jeff Carew, Managing Director at Forecast5, commented on the launch, “As we have done in other states, we will be building a thought-leader group comprised of school administrators to help guide the evolution of the 5Sight analytics catalog.  We have been very successful implementing this type of co-development strategy which ultimately ensures that the tools are relevant and impactful for California schools.”

Forecast5 will be delivering live demonstrations at the CASBO conference in Booth #736.
