Announcing 2017 Project of the Year Recipients

Posted on Nov 27, 2017 10:24:03 AM

Over the last five years, it’s been a real honor to be able to work with hundreds of school administrators on numerous projects and presentations.  As analytics continues to grow in the public sector, we continue to be encouraged by the innovations in so many school systems across the country.  To further encourage data-curiosity and analytics-innovation, we started the annual Forecast5 Project of the Year Awards in 2016.  After reviewing dozens of projects completed in 2016, we awarded PROJECT OF THE YEAR honors to five school districts along with a donation to the scholarship fund of each district.

I’m excited to announce the 2017 Project of the Year recipients.  These six school districts were honored at our recent National Client Conference with an award and a donation to the scholarship fund of each district.

INDIAN PRAIRIE SCHOOL DISTRICT 204 (Illinois) - Jay Strang - Used 5Maps™ to run different scenarios as they planned for the best way to realign their boundaries.

AUBURN SCHOOL DISTRICT (Washington) - Cindi Blansfield - Leveraged 5Cast
and 5Sight to increase the district’s transparency to their stakeholders and the public.

SCHOOL DISTRICT OF LANCASTER (Pennsylvania) - Matt Przywara - Used 5Sight to run a comparative financial analysis which allowed the district to optimize transportation subsidies and increase transportation revenues in excess of $1 million.

WAUNAKEE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT (Wisconsin) - Steve Summers - Used 5Sight to help create their annual “Budget Book” presented to the Board and posted publicly on the district’s website.

GREAT VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT (Pennsylvania) – Chuck Linderman – Integrated 5Sight visual analytics throughout their budget video series, helping the community understand important performance metrics and concepts.

FAIRPORT CENTRAL COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT (New York) – Matt Stevens – Leveraged 5Sight and 5Cast to produce a backward and forward looking “state of the district” presentation for the board, community and administrative team through analytics and analysis.

Over the next few weeks, we will share more information on each project.  As we enter 2018, Forecast5 will continue to recognize client successes and give back to education through donations to student scholarship funds.
